WHITE STONE—Budget committee chairman Ran Reeves presented a proposed fiscal year 2026 budget to White Stone Town Council on Thursday, May 1.
It was a second reading. However, this time the budget included the “first full year” of a projected public utilities category.
Council took a first look at the proposed $258,525 operations budget in April but that did not include anticipated revenues and expenses generated by the town’s new public sewage system.
“Last year, we approved a six-month budget, so basically we just took that and doubled it,” said Reeves. “This is the first year we’ll have a full budget to go off of.”
The addition of the proposed $139,075 public utilities budget brings the town’s total projected budget to $397,600.
