WEEMS—William “Tutu” Scott Jr. of Weems died February 21, 2020.
He was born May 24, 1965, to June Baylor Scott and William Scott Sr. in Fredericksburg.
Tutu was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in King George. He graduated from King George High School in 1984.
He served in the U.S. Army until medically discharged and worked in construction for more than 30 years.
Tutu was preceded in death by his mother, June Bayor Scott.
He is survived by his father, William Scott Sr. and stepmother, Sharon Scott of King George; his fiance, Twala Manning of Weems; brothers Edmund Baylor of Richmond, John Scott of King George, Omar Scott of Aurora, Ill., and James Monroe of King George; sisters Angie Tyler-Tann of Richmond and Cynthia Byrd of King George; stepsister, Cassandra Wiley of Columbia, Md.; son, De’Andre Scott of Fredericksburg; daughters, Ashley Brown of Colonial Beach and Taylor Rivera Scott and Alexus Scott, both of King George; granddaughter Autoria; grandson, Jaylen; stepdaughter, Arielle Manning and stepsons Timmothy Manning Jr. and Aaron Manning, all of Weems; and five stepgrandchildren.
A funeral was held February 29 at Salem Baptist Church, King George, followed by interment in the church cemetery.
