YMCA offers virtual and personal support for students

The Northern Neck Family YMCA has implemented a daily schedule to help support and facilitate a child’s virtual learning while being safely monitored and supervised by the state-licensed YMCA youth development team.

“During this difficult and unprecedented time, it is important that we all come together to help one another,” said child services director Mary Posey. “Our dedicated staff at the YMCA Child Development Center continues to help families access safe, affordable care through this Educational Support program dedicated to the social, emotional, and academic development of children.”

To meet every child’s health and learning needs, the classrooms are sanitized, cleaned regularly and appropriate social distancing is closely monitored. All students receive support on their virtual devices as they participate in scheduled, structured…
