Business association welcomes new businesses to White Stone

White Stone has seen an influx of new businesses over the last couple of years with more than eight new businesses opening and that trend is continuing.

Out of the Oven Bakery, at 549 Rappahannock Drive, and Antique Outfitters, at 390 Chesapeake Drive, are the latest new businesses to open in White Stone, with at least three more coming near the first of the year, reported Jeff Cherry of the White Stone Business Association (WSBA).

To welcome the new businesses, WSBA president Lloyd Hubbard and Cherry recently visited with welcome kits.

Projects under way by the Town of White Stone in bringing a new septic system, housing rehabilitation and applying for downtown revitalization should continue creating an inviting business destination, said Cherry.
