Milena Cruz, 8, and Jason Curry, 15, have been named the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck (BGCNN) February Youth and Teen of the Month, according to Unit Director Sheena Hebbons.
Cruz is a second grader at Lancaster Primary School. She has been a club member for almost two years. She is in choir and the Positive Action program, which focuses on character development, social and emotional learning and academic improvement, said Hebbons.
At school Cruz participates in the art club. Her sister, Arcely Gomez, 17, also is also a member of the BGCNN.
Cruz was selected as February’s Youth of the Month because she is respectful, well-mannered, a great volunteer, has good attendance and works hard to get good grades in school, said Hebbons…
