Sydney Price had a season high four blocks and Shelby Rose got above the net for three blocks as Lancaster swept Essex, 3-0, last Thursday to pick up their second straight Northern Neck District win in varsity volleyball.
The Lady Devils beat the host Lady Trojans, 25-15, 25-16, 25-16. Lancaster is 2-0 in the district and 3-4 overall and will host Rappahannock tonight, September 27.
Madison Giese also had a big night at the net for LHS against Essex. She had three kills and a block and added two aces behind the service line.
McKenzie Hathaway had six aces and nine digs and Katherine Thomas had three aces with eight assists.
