Robotics teams stage demonstration for sponsors

 Chesapeake Wealth Management and the Ben D. Conley Educational and Charitable Foundation recently hosted the Lancaster High School and Middle School robotics teams at the main branch of Chesapeake Bank in Kilmarnock.

The student participants demonstrated their robots and presented an overview of the LCPS robotics program to a gathering of donors, community leaders, teachers and parents.

Community funding for the LHS and LMS robotics programs was solicited by the Lancaster County Virginia Education Foundation and was provided by two primary sources: the Ben D. Conley Charitable and Educational Foundation and the AGAPE Fund of Campbell Presbyterian Church.

“It was great for us to meet and host the young minds of the LHS and LMS robotics teams. It was also beneficial for donors to learn more about the program and see tangible evidence of the contributions at work,” said Jean Light, president of the Conley Foundation board…
