FREDERICKSBURG—Ruth Virginia Steppe, 99, of Fredericksburg passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church for 38 years when she lived in Lively.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Steppe.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert S. and Shirley H. Steppe of Burke and Raymond E. and Atsuko Steppe of Lake of the Woods in Orange County; grandchildren, Stephen W. Steppe and wife Ashley Klein of Deerfield Beach, Florida, Christopher A. and wife Janet Bloodgood Steppe of Nome, Alaska, and Lauren E. Steppe of Manassas; great-grandchildren Finley Steppe of Nome, Arkansas, and Sebastian and Thea Klein-Steppe of Deerfield Beach, Florida.
Private family graveside services will be held at noon, Saturday May 16, at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery, Alfonso. A reception will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lebanon Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 1712 Lara Road, Lancaster, VA 22503.
