Callao Brewing Company, 129 Northumberland Highway, Callao, will host a quarter auction on May 30 to benefit the construction of the Hometown Community Park. Registration will begin at 3 p.m., the auction start at 4 p.m.
The entry fee of $20 will cover a numbered paddle. Additional paddles will be available for $5 each.
Each auction item will be assigned a bid value of one, two, three or four quarters. “As each item is presented, you put the number of quarters required to bid in the cup,” said Callao Hometown Association president Lisa Deitz. “If we draw your paddle number from the cup, you win the item.”
