Raiders blitz Devils, 10-0, for district tournament title

Carter Sullivan hit a solo home run to center field in the top of the first to set the tone as Rappahannock High School shut out Lancaster, 10-0 in the Northern Neck District baseball tournament championship Wednesday, May 20.

Lancaster, which won the regular season district title with a 16-4 record and finished as the Region 1A top seed, has earned a home berth in the regional tournament quarterfinal tonight, May 28. The Red Devils will host West Point while second seed Rappahannock will host Essex.

The Raiders expanded their 1-0 lead in the second inning with doubles from Dayne Keyser, Chase Self and Daniel Morrison to help score five runs.

Five Raiders had a double in the game….
