Lancaster, which finished as a state quarterfinalist for a second straight year, has two players named to the Virginia High School League All-State softball team. The team was announced on Tuesday, June 16.
LHS sophomore pitcher Addie George, who was the Region 1A player of the year with a 20-6 record, was named to the first team. Lancaster sophomore third baseman Kelsey Bishoff was named to the second team. George had 90 strikeouts in 153 innings pitched and helped lead LHS to the state tournament with a .555 batting average and 17 RBI. Bishoff was a force at third base and also led the team with 19 RBI and two home runs.
