WEST NYACK, NY—Jesus gained another dutiful servant. Pam Satriale of West Nyack, N.Y., passed away peacefully, June 29, 2026.
Born in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., to Peter and Anne Miller, Pam had eight siblings. Her father passed away while she was an infant and her mother was deemed unfit to raise nine children. She overcame a loveless and abusive childhood in an orphanage, and later in foster homes to become an administrative assistant in the New York State Assembly. She was fluent in dictation and shorthand and could still demonstrate her skills at 98 years young!
There she met her husband, John, and was married until his passing, November 22, 2017.
Despite her challenging early life, she was acutely intelligent, caring, charitable and faithful. She was an amazing cook, avid golfer, and enjoyed playing cards with her family. Her faith in Jesus and love for her family and friends was paramount. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her son, John; daughter, Linda Fothe; daughter-in-law, Susan; son-in-law, Mark; grandchildren, Johnny and Elizabeth Satriale, and Brian (his wife Erin), Scott Fothe and Lauren Prater (her husband Brian); as well as great-grandchildren, Emma, Aubrey, Grady and Owen; all of whom she loved deeply and unconditionally.
A one-day service at Sorce Funeral home was held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 8; and mass at St. Francis of Assisi will be held in her honor, at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 9. Burial will follow at Rockland Cemetery in Blauvelt, N.Y.
