While many area communities canceled their Independence Day parades and related events due to soaring weekend temperatures, Reedville celebrated America’s 250th anniversary with two parades, a 5K run/walk and a fireworks display. Fawn’s Delectables Cafe entered their 250 birthday cake and coffee cart in both parades. The entry won first place in the annual patriotic golf cart parade on Friday, July 3. On Saturday, July 4, float designer Heather Cockrell and owner Fawn Deihl passed out iced coffee pops to adults along the parade route.
