LANCASTER—The Lancaster County Circuit Court convened Friday, July 10, with the Hon. John S. Martin presiding.
In the case of Jesse L. Carroll of Staunton, charged with four felonies for selling/distributing a Schedule I/II substance and one felony for selling drugs near a school or library, a status hearing was continued to July 24.
In the case of John R. Martin of Lancaster, charged with a felony for violating probation, a status hearing was scheduled for July 24.
In the case of Kionte R. Walters of Heathsville, charged with three felonies and one misdemeanor for violating probation, a show cause hearing was scheduled for August 14.
In the case of Erica J. Wiggins of Lancaster, originally charged with felony destruction of property but found not guilty by reason of insanity, a review hearing was continued by defense motion until January 22.
In the case of Jason P. Harsh of Lancaster, charged with a felony for violating probation, a show cause hearing was scheduled for September 11.
In the case of James D. Ludwig of Weems, charged with two felonies and one misdemeanor for violating probation, a trial was scheduled for August 21.
In the case of Vesta J. Johnson of Lancaster, charged with a felony for violating probation, a show cause hearing was scheduled for September 11.
In the case of Clement Williams of White Stone, appealing a General District Court conviction on an infraction for operating an uninsured vehicle, a trial was scheduled for August 14.
In the case of Michael S. Kappel of Heathsville, charged with a felony for collecting advance pay but not providing a service, the charge was nolle prossed.
In the case of Ryan D. Smith of Lancaster, charged with felonies for possession of a Schedule I/II substance and possession of a gun with a Schedule I/II substance, a trial was continued by defense motion until September 11.
In the case of Karl. N. Blackwell of Richmond, charged with two felonies for violating probation, a status hearing was continued to July 24.
