Although his appearance was a brief one, Markiel Cockrell was obviously proud of his spot on the big screen.
Cockrell was all smiles as he passed out autographed pictures to a crowd of family, friends and neighbors at Compass Entertainment Complex on Thursday, July 23, opening night for Bad Counselors. The movie, which continues at the cinema through today, July 30, is rated PG-13 and is a Christian-based comedy which delivers laughs, some tears and a thoughtful message.
Cockrell, who grew up in Wicomico Church and graduated from Northumberland High School in 2024, has a brief speaking role during the first five minutes of the movie, portraying a fraternity brother named Deuce dressed in a pirate costume for a party.
