LANCASTER—The Lancaster planning commission last week got its first look at capital improvement plan (CIP) requests from the school board and county departments. The requests cover fiscal years 2019-24.
Requests for fiscal 2018-19 totaled $13,141,553. Five year projections totaled $73,459,753.
The school district topped the list with a total request for fiscal year 2018-19 of $10,715,000. The bulk of that figure— $10.5 million—is to begin site work, facility design and construction on new schools.
Another $59.7 million is requested in fiscal year 2019-20 to complete construction for opening in September 2021…
