Members of the Northern Neck Duplicate Bridge Club gathered June 21 for a higher purpose than enjoying a game with friends. They participated in the annual Longest Day® fundraising event to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.
The American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) Unit 109 hosted two special bridge games, a silent auction and a luncheon, reported Malena B. McGrath. Members bid to play with some of the unit’s best players. Many local businesses donated their services and goods as prizes for the silent auction.
