KILMARNOCK—Richard M. King passed away on September 17, 2019, at the age of 98.
He was a native of Washington, D.C, a World War II veteran, retired FAA Controller, and a resident of Kilmarnock for 47 years.
He was the son of the late Clarence I. and Mary A. King.
He is survived by his loving wife of 77 years, Gloria G. King. His surviving children are Carol Seymour (Tom), his son, Richard (Pam), Cheryl Ashe (Les), Donna Shepler (Richard); and his brother, Donald (Helen); and family. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at Morattico Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck, PO Box 564, Kilmarnock, VA 22482.
Currie Funeral Home LLC of Kilmarnock handled the arrangements.
