Eight two-man teams braved some frigid playing conditions Saturday, November 23, for the annual Butterball Betterball Golf Tournament at Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club.
Players brought food items or cash to be donated to the White Stone Baptist Church Food Bank in exchange for a mulligan, reported head golf professional Mike Mayer.
“We were able to make a nice donation to the food bank and have a nice day on the course,” said Mayer.
The winning teams were rewarded with a turkey breast as the trophy.
Low gross winners, shooting a 74, were Bob Gillispie and Beth Kendrick. Low net winners, posting a score of 63, were Kevin Dougherty and Justin Nelson.
