Christchurch School invites community to hang prayer flags

The Showalter-Kempe family hangs prayer flags. Both Peter Kempe and Angela Showalter teach in the Christchurch School humanities department. Kempe is also the school librarian.

Christchurch School faculty and their families have strung prayer flags over the school’s white fence along General Puller Highway. The flags are meant to serve as a colorful expression of love and concern for all affected by the coronavirus and to show gratitude and support for first responders, doctors, nurses and all medical personnel.  

The idea was conceived by foreign language department chairman Chris Little.
