HAYNESVILLE—At 1:40 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, the Virginia State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash with a confirmed fatality at Richmond Road and Rich Neck Road near Haynesville, according to Division One public information officer Sgt. Keeli L. Hill.
The trooper’s preliminary investigation shows that a 2017 Buick Encore driven by Olive J. King, 83, of Haynesville was traveling southbound on Rich Neck Road when she proceeded from a stop sign without yielding and was struck by a 2013 Mack dump truck hauling sand.
