The Friends of Dragon Run (FDR) board of directors recently approved a short summer paddle season during mid-July 2020.
Dates are July 10-13, 17-20 and 24-27. If there is sufficient demand for reservations, they will consider adding July 16 and 23, reported FDR publicity chairman Rebecca Day
Based on the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention and Virginia government guidelines, FDR plan special precautions in response to COVID-19, Day also said. Many things about this paddle will be quite different from any they have done in the past.
Masks will be required at all times while on land, and crew and guests must wear a mask during equipment fitting, launch and takeout. Each paddle will be limited to six guests.
