Heaven K. McQuillen

VIRGINIA BEACH—Heaven Kathryne van den Ende McQuillen, 26, of Virginia Beach, formerly of Chance, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020.

Heaven grew up in Essex County, and was a lifelong equine enthusiast. Her love for horses was paralleled only by her love for the water. These two passions were a reflection of the unmistakable and untamable spirit she possessed.

She is survived by her son, Tugston Bay McQuillen; her parents, Hellana van den Ende of Tappahannock and John Vance of Chance; three siblings, Legend van den Ende of Chance, Jewel van den Ende of Tappahannock and Freedom van den Ende of Chance; maternal grandmother, Birtha van den Ende of Norfolk; maternal grandfather, Alexander van den Ende of Virginia Beach; paternal grandmother, Gayle Allen of Tappahannock; aunt, Candi Nabi of West Virginia; uncles, Charles van den Ende of Norfolk and Shauwn van den Ende of Virginia Beach; and a number of cousins, extended family, and friends.

A funeral service was held 3 p.m. Saturday, August 29, in the Faulkner Funeral Homes, Marks-Bristow Chapel, Tappahannock, with the Reverend S. Roy Foster officiating. Interment was private.
