Final vote totals in Virginia to be certified November 16; Biden claims presidential win

KILMARNOCK—Alaska, Arizona and North Carolina continue to count votes already cast in the November 3 presidential election, and Georgia is headed for a recount.

But in Virginia, with the exception of a few mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day and arriving up to noon on November 6, there are solid, completed counts that will be certified on November 16. Until then, all results are unofficial.

Lancaster County voter registrar Susan Jett said her office was “finishing up” on Tuesday, November 10, with any final mail-in ballots.
