Art teachers leading community effort to create a LOVEworks sign

Lancaster County primary and middle school art teachers are seeking community participation in the creation of a LOVEworks sign.

“Everyone in our community is needed to be a part of this collaborative art experience,” said primary school art teacher Kendra Hunt.

A grant from the Lancaster County Virginia Education Foundation (LCVEF) was awarded to fully cover the design and creation of a LOVE sign, said Hunt.

“Our purpose is to create a destination that is a time capsule for our community—looking at our past, present and future through a variety of objects like photographs, artwork, memorabilia, historical keepsakes, or documents. Dream Fields will be the home for this inclusive project,” she said.
