‘Tails and Tales’ is the theme for Northumberland summer reading

It’s been a long, strange school year, but summer is going to be fun. Northumberland Public Library, Northumberland Family YMCA and Northumberland Elementary School are teaming up to make reading a family affair.

The theme, “Tails and Tales” is all about animals. And yes, there is a unicorn.

“But unicorns aren’t real, are they?” asked Marilyn Smith, the library children’s program director, with a wink.

The answer will come from “Unicorns Break the Cage,” as elementary students conduct science….
