BROOKLYN CENTER, MINN.—Gertrude “Trudy” Tracy, 94, formerly of Robbinsdale, Minn., passed away peacefully at Maranatha Care Center in Brooklyn Center, Minn., on August 21, 2021.
Trudy was born in Weems on January 18, 1927.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman King Tracy; father, Rolden Gaines; mother, Ora (Ashburn) Gaines; and siblings, Louise Shelton, Lawrence Gaines, Garland Gaines, Clarissa Abbott, Lena Brown and Ralph Gaines.
She is survived by sons, James M. (Marne), Ronald L. (Karen), John E. (Janet) and their families.
Trudy was a life member of Westphal American Legion, a daycare provider, NW Bell employee and retiree of US Bank.
Trudy was overly modest, never spoke poorly of anyone, and was strong in her Christian faith. She was a role model who had a strong guiding compass that she passed on to others.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, November 3, at Brunswick United Methodist Church, Crystal, Minn. Interment followed at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minn.
Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel of Robbinsdale, Minn., handled the arrangements.
