Northern Neck Orchestra (NNO) music director Michael Repper will present music from the New York Youth Symphony’s new recording of compositions by three African American women composers, Florence Price, Valerie Coleman and Jessie Montgomery, at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at Good Luck Cellars, 1025 Goodluck Road, Kilmarnock.
Repper will underscore his commentary on the music by demonstrating selections of the works at the piano and utilizing the recorded performances. During the presentation, he will interact with the audience.
Attendees are asked to consider making a donation to the NNO.
Copies of the newly released CD featuring three debut recordings will be available….
