The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Rappahannock (UUFR) has kids with very big hearts.
When they heard that the Northern Neck Partners for Pets (NNPP) needs to collect $2.5 million to build a 70-bed “no kill” shelter, the kids, immediately, said, “We’ve got to help them!” Millie Mayhew, 9, suggested they have a lemonade stand.
Tri-Star Supermarket generously agreed to host their four-hour lemonade stand on Saturday, August 20, reported religious education director Belinda Gaskins. Ten youth, ages 3-12, each worked an hour shift selling lemonade and bake sale items.
