Two historic churches have blessed the Foxwells community on Windmill Point Road for over a century. They recently became one.
Asbury United Methodist Church was founded in 1896. The church had served the community of Foxwells for over 126 years.
Just across the road from Asbury stood Maple Grove Baptist Church. Maple Grove had served the Foxwells community for over 124 years.
Faced with the possibility of both churches being shut down, the leadership of both Asbury and Maple Grove decided to merge both congregations into one new congregation, The Island Church. This new assembly of believers boasts generations of family members….
