Northumberland-Lancaster County Farm Bureau members gather for annual dinner meeting

The Northumberland-Lancaster County Farm Bureau on Thursday, September 22, elected a new slate of officers and directors.

President Lynn Kallus presided over the annual membership dinner meeting at the Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department in Lively.

She transitions into the role of past president after the membership overwhelmingly endorsed a slate of officers presented by the nominating committee. The new officers are  president Ronnie Forrester, vice president Mike Bryant, secretary Kirk Vanlandingham, treasurer Craig Giese, women’s committee chairman Tammy Wilkins and young farmers chairman Trent Jones.

Members also approved four resolutions presented by Bryant and Forrester. The resolutions will be forwarded to the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation (VFBF) for consideration and action….
