Lancaster sweeps K&Q, 3-0; falls to district foe in volleyball

Lancaster High School opened a three-match week with a 3-0 sweep over King & Queen but got tripped up in back-to-back Northern Neck District matches against Westmoreland and Rappahannock.

The Devils are now 6-8 overall and 1-3 in the district and are ranked sixth among the 12 Region 1A teams.

Rappahannock, 18-1, is in first place.

It took the Eagles five sets to beat the Devils, 3-2, last Tuesday but the Raiders needed only three in a clean sweep last Thursday.
