Lancaster High School harriers Kiera Coleman and Matthew Kane were the individual medalists and the LHS boys team was the winner of a multi-school cross country meet at Hills Quarter Wednesday, September 28.
Kane paced 36 runners on his home course and finished the race in 18:25, six seconds ahead of runner-up Corey Daniel of West Point. Lancaster had all five of its scorers finish in the top 10 for a team low score of 23 points. West Point was second with 50 and Rappahannock third with 57. Northumberland did not have a full team.
Lancaster’s Josh Woolard and Isaiah Minter followed each other across the finish line with Woolard in third place (19:55) and Minter fourth (19:59). Lancaster’s Jameson Scott and West Point’s Noah Serio were neck-and-neck for the final 30 yards….
