Red Cross seeks donations for victims of Hurricane Ian

BURGESS—Hurricane Ian recently made catastrophic landfall in Florida, then moved up the coast leaving people struggling to figure out their next steps.

Since that time, the Red Cross and local partners have been working around the clock to ensure food, relief supplies and mental health support are available wherever needed, so that no one faces this tough time alone.

“Our top priority is to support the residents of all impacted regions as they shift their focus from survival to rebuilding,” said Shirley Grant, community volunteer leader.

“These survivors are counting on our assistance, yours and mine, in the days and weeks ahead, assistance that you can provide today with an emergency gift,” said Grant. “Make an emergency donation now to provide food, shelter and more for people impacted by Hurricane Ian.”

To donate, stop by Lilian Lumber Company, 15115 Northumberland Highway, Burgess, donate online or text “IAN” to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
