HEATHSVILLE—A Callao woman remains incarcerated this week following a domestic dispute that has left a male victim hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
Jazmin Marie Shipp, 26, of Callao appeared at an arraignment August 25 via video feed from the Northern Neck Regional Jail in Warsaw.
Shipp appeared in Northumberland County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, charged with aggravated malicious wounding and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. According to Northumberland County Commonwealth’s Attorney Jane Wrightson, Shipp’s attorney was unable to be present for the arraignment and a bond hearing has been set for 9 a.m. tomorrow, September 1.
“And we oppose bond,” said Wrightson. “If they appeal it, it will go to Circuit Court. And we’ll oppose it there as well.”
