The Rappahannock Music Study Club (RMSC) sponsored an inspiring performance of piano and vocal students in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day at the club’s January 15 meeting at Grace Episcopal Church in Kilmarnock.
Ranging in age from 6-17, the performers are students of local music teachers Beth Conley and Suzanne Cuthbertson. Concert selections ranged from “Red River Valley” and “Whistle Stop Blues” to a symphonic theme by Beethoven.
Parents, students, club members and guests attended and heard the truly heartwarming performances by the students, reported Joan Blatterman. Lunch was served afterwards. The RMSC promotes music appreciation in the community and assists with music education to students in the Northern Neck.
