Historian to explain the use of family treasures to tell stories

The Middlesex County Museum and Historical Society Inc. will celebrate Black History Month with a presentation by Bessida Cauthorne White at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 25, at the Middlesex County Historic Courthouse, 877 General Puller Highway, Saluda.

White, a community and family historian, will discuss the use of family treasures to explore and communicate family and community history and to shed light on the broader African-American story, reported executive director Holly Horton. She will share a myriad of treasures from her family history journey.

White will talk about the various ways she uses family treasures to interest and engage….
