On Thursday, July 25, the Lancaster By The Bay Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of two new local businesses: Calluna Gathered Goods and The Bookshelf on Church.

The ceremony, held at the new business locations, 53 West Curch Street, Kilmarnock, was attended by a distinguished group of local leaders and community members. Among those present were family members of the business owners, Kilmarnock Mayor Shawn Donahue, town manager Susan Cockrell, economic development coordinator Sharon Phillips and Lancaster by the Bay Chamber of Commerce executive director Leslie Jingluski.

“We are thrilled to welcome Calluna and The Bookshelf on Church to Kilmarnock,” said Jingluski. “Their presence adds tremendous value to our town, and we are confident that they will thrive and contribute positively to our local economy.”

The ribbon-cutting event was a moment of celebration and anticipation, reflecting the collective hope for the continued prosperity and development of Kilmarnock. The Chamber is committed to supporting these new businesses and ensuring their success as they embark on this exciting journey, she said.
