
Six members of the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck (BGCNN) attended the opening of the first phase of the TriWay Trail, a nine-and-a-half-mile, multi-use trail that will connect Kilmarnock, Irvington and White Stone.
This event marked a significant milestone in the trail’s development and was a day of celebration, community and future promise, said BGCNN resource development and marketing assistant Eric L. Watts Jr.
Around 300 residents, business owners, stakeholders and local officials gathered at the Compass Entertainment Complex to witness Sen. Mark Warner present a $988,000 federal funding check for trail development.
Members of the BGCNN took photos of the event. Using their phone cameras, the members captured moments and memories under the guidance of the Lancaster County Lions Club, who coached them on identifying important scenes to document.
