Band of Oz coming to Northern Neck Beach Music Festival

The Colonial Beach Community Foundation will host the sixth annual Northern Neck Beach Music Festival in the Town of Colonial Beach on September 14.

The festival, held on Town Hill, features a live concert showcasing three bands. Feature Attraction Band (F.A.B.), a beach music favorite, at noon. Playing for the first time in Colonial Beach is The Band of Oz, a Carolina beach music mainstay since 1967, followed by popular Motown Butta from Southern Maryland.

Beach Music Deejay Hall of Fame inductee and WWER 88.1 FM on-air personality Craig Jennings, from the Beach Breeze & Groves Show, will lead shag dance lessons and a dance contest. There will be a “Best Dressed Tent” contest with the winner receiving a free tent rental for next year.

New this year: Bring Your Own Tent and set up on the river view grounds for $100. Denson’s Food Truck, beverages and Ingleside wines by the bottle will be….
