
WICOMICO CHURCH—Shirley Booth Hall, 87, of Wicomico Church passed away peacefully on November 6, 2024. She was born on August 30, 1937, to the late James M. and Nannie Mae Balderson Booth. She was a member of Wicomico Baptist Church.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 68 years, Gilliam F. Hall Sr.; son, Frank Hall (Barbara); grandson, Chris Hall. She also is survived by her niece, Debbie Hoffman (Tim); and nephews, Bruce Northern, Mike Northern, and Jeff Booth (Angela).
She was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Don Howard; grandson, Billy Hall; sister, Julia Ann Northern; and brother, Jimmy Booth.
Shirley and Gilliam purchased her father’s business, James M. Booth Oyster House, after her father’s death and ran the business for eight years. She also was a school bus driver for Chesapeake Academy.
She was an avid sports fan, loved landscaping, gardening and seafood. She was full of life and never met a stranger.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, at Currie Funeral Home in Kilmarnock. The family received friends one hour prior to the service. Interment followed at Wicomico Baptist Church Cemetery in Mila.
