Lancaster ladies end regular season strong

Lancaster is riding a four-game winning streak heading into this week’s Region 1A softball tournament. The Lady Devils finished sixth in the region with a 13-8 record and will head to the Eastern Shore today, May 29, to play third-place Chincoteague in a quarterfinal.

Lancaster ended regular season play last week with back-to-back make-up games against Colonial Beach and Essex. LHS scored a combined 38 runs in the two outings, beating the Drifters, 21-7, on May 19, and the Trojans, 17-7, on May 20.

Braelyn Johnson had a hit in all four of her trips to the plate to score four times and drive in two runs against Essex. Johnson joined LHS hitters Addie George, Isabella Gill, Kelsie Cox and Kynleigh Wilson with extra-base hits in….
