Sheriff’s Report 10-02-25

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against eight individuals.

Felony

Christopher Lynn Goins Jr., 36, of Lancaster was charged September 25 with revocation of suspension of sentence and probation on the underlying charge of two counts of manufacturing, selling, giving, distributing or possessing with the intent to manufacture, sell, give or distribute a controlled substance.

Misdemeanors

A Heathsville woman, 51, was charged September 22 with cruelty to animals.

A Lancaster man, 38, was charged September 22 with failure to appear in court for arraignment on the underlying charge of driving suspended.

A Hampton man, 37, was charged September 23 with failure to appear in court on August 26.

A White Stone woman, 26, was charged September 24 with driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated, and refusal to submit breath or blood for chemical test.

A Heathsville woman, 49, was charged September 26 with assault and battery.

A Lancaster woman, 51, was charged September 27 with driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated, and refusal to submit breath or blood for chemical test.

A Warsaw woman, 29, was charged September 27 with driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

Activity report

September 22: Staff responded to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for debris in the highway, to Mary Ball and Regina roads for a disabled vehicle, to Mary Ball and Regina roads for a disabled vehicle, and the 2000 block of Morattico Road for a larceny.

September 23: Staff responded to the 300 block of Twin Branch Road for an adult welfare check, to Cox Farm Road for a suspicious person, to the 500 block of White Chapel Road for trespassing, to the Norris Bridge for a reckless driver, and to Fleets Bay Road and Bayview Lane for a downed tree.

September 24: Staff responded to the 10000 block of Mary Ball Road for a disabled vehicle, to the 1700 block of Laurel Point Road for legal advice, and to the 800 block of Weems Road for a domestic assault.

September 25: Staff responded to Black Stump Road and James B. Jones Memorial Highway for  a disabled vehicle, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for debris in the highway, to the Norris Bridge for debris in the highway, to the 40 block of East Senora Road for destruction of property, to the 800 block of Weems Road for a domestic assault, to the 300 block of White Hall Road for gunshots in the late evening hours, and to the 8000 block of River Road for a domestic assault.

September 26: Staff responded to the 100 block of Reynolds Farm Road for a domestic disturbance, to River Road and Belmont Drive for a downed tree, to the 11000 block of River Road for a verbal dispute, and to the 200 block of White Chapel Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash.

September 27: Staff responded to the 200 block of Rocky Neck Road for a domestic assault, to the 900 block of Hoecake Road for a downed tree, and to Mary Ball Road and Simmons Lane for a two-vehicle traffic crash.

September 28: Staff responded to the 200 block of Benson Road for threats.

Staff also conducted 27 traffic stops, issued 25 summonses, assisted five motorists, handled two requests for traffic control, investigated five building alarms, logged an inmate transport, received two E911 hang up calls, and fielded a call for animal control service.

Fire calls

White Stone Volunteer Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire at 155 East Bay Drive, brush fires at 852 Chesapeake Drive and 2887 Windmill Point Road.

Kilmarnock VFD responded to a fire alarm at 486 Harris Road, downed power lines at 1680 Mount Olive Road, a traffic crash at Mary Ball Road and Simmons Lane and with White Stone VFD to a residential structure fire at 2650 Irvington Road.

Upper Lancaster VFD responded to a fire alarm at 144 Hills Lane.
