Sheriff Beauchamp issues call for help after dead dog found in Indian Creek

The Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) is seeking public input in finding the owner or person responsible for discarding a dog in the water.

According to Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp, a homeowner notified the department on Wednesday, April 1, about an object floating in Indian Creek near Indian Creek Estates.

“An innocent dog was found after being deliberately tied to a cinder block and discarded in the water—an act that reflects a profound disregard for life and compassion,” stated a NCSO press release.
