With the June 11 deadline passed and candidates declared, here is how the ballot is shaping up for November 5.
Incumbent Rep. Sen. Ryan McDougle will seek another term in Senate District 4. His Democratic challenger is Stan Scott.
Incumbent Rep. Del. Margaret Ransone is seeking reelection in House District 99. Her opponent is Democrat Francis Edwards.
The Registrar’s Office in Lancaster County has current Commonwealth’s Attorney Jan Smith seeking another term. He will be running against Margaret “Maggie” Ransone and Anthony “Tony” Spencer.
Incumbent Commissioner of the Revenue Marlon Savoy is seeking another term.
Treasurer Bonnie Dickson is unopposed for another term.
Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie is seeking reelection. His opponent is Melvin Howard.
On the Lancaster board of supervisors, three incumbents are seeking reelection and are running unopposed: District 2, Ernest Palin Jr.; District 3, Jason Bellows; and District 4, William Lee.
For Lancaster school board, the incumbent in District 2, Kenya Moody, is seeking another term. Her opponent will be Sandra Dee Zeiler. In District 3, Michael Schoelwer and Cindy Booth Clarke are both running for the seat being vacated by board chairman Audrey Thomasson. And in District 4, incumbent Joan Gravatt is running unopposed.
No candidates filed for Northern Neck Soil and Water Conservation District.
