TAPPAHANNOCK—Aubrey Ewell “Mask-Man” Mitchell, 81, died Sunday, December 27, 2020, at Carrington Place, Tappahannock.
He was born June 11, 1939, in Rehoboth to the late Clarence Mitchell Sr. and Mildred Green Mitchell.
He attended public schools in Northumberland County and was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.
He worked in the logging industry and later moved to Maryland where he became a skilled landscaper.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Joyce and Annie; and brothers, Clarence Jr. and Clinton.
He is survived by a sister, Edith Mae Mitchell; and brothers, Thurman Mitchell of Burgess, Quentin Mitchell of Burgess, Harold Mitchell of Kilmarnock, James Mitchell of Reedville, Clyde Mitchell of Heathsville, Carlton Mitchell of Fort Washington, Md., and Samuel Mitchell of Kilmarnock.
A graveside service was held Saturday, January 2, at the Mitchell Family Cemetery, Mitchell Lane, Kilmarnock, with evangelist Brenda Campbell presiding.
Campbell Funeral Home of Kilmarnock handled the arrangements.
