Beachcombing for winter littler

A group of local youth recently undertook a volunteer project along the Rappahannock River shoreline. Lancaster High School senior Mary Logan Hill organized a trash collection at the public beach adjacent to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge in Topping. The group collected a truck bed full of trash and plans to return for another clean-up day in the spring.
