The Northern Neck Orchestra (NNO) will present an outdoor concert performance of Bizet’s opera “Carmen” with voices from James Taylor Studios of Richmond at 3 p.m. May 23 at Good Luck Cellars, 1025 Goodluck Road, Kilmarnock.
The adaptation of Bizet’s classic tale of romance, passion and jealousy set in Spain features some of opera’s greatest melodies; among them are the enchanting Habanera and the rousing Song of the Toreadors.
Tickets are $25 and may be purchased at www.northernneckorchestra.org or at the door. Students are admitted free.
