‘Carrots for CASA’ activity set March 30

Frances Callaghan and Tina Powell recently filled 100 “Carrots for CASA.” Cat Attiliis, Frances Harvey and Betty Wirth also helped.

The Northern Neck Court Appointed Special Advocate Program (CASA) will sell candy carrots from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, March 30, at Tri-Star Supermarket in Kilmarnock.

The “carrots” are candy filled and make wonderful gifts for children or lovely table decorations for Easter celebrations, reported director Betty Wirth.

“Please stop by and meet the Belle Isle State Park Easter Bunny and help support CASA,” said Wirth. “This is our third year of this project and each year it becomes more and more successful.”

CASA works with the judge of the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court in looking out for the best interests of children involved in the court system.
