Christchurch School will hold its 96th commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 27, at 10 a.m. on Headmaster’s Lawn. Headmaster John E. Byers will speak.
The valedictorian is Sydney Jordan Pitts, daughter of James and Cynthia Pitts of Urbanna. Pitts will attend the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
There will be a baccalaureate service at 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 26, in St. Peter’s Chapel, followed by an awards ceremony and the senior banquet, reported Jennifer Homer. The entire school community will then enjoy an end-of-the-year celebration carnival.
Local graduates include Joseph Hubbard Humphreys III, the son of Joseph and Kathryn Humphreys of White Stone; and Elizabeth Rebecca Nashwinter, the daughter of William and Alissa Nashwinter of White Stone.
